Who we are

Nori ("Nori", "we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered senior companion service. We place scheduled daily phone calls to enrolled seniors, analyze the conversations for wellbeing signals, and send alerts to designated family contacts when concerns are detected.

Information we collect

We collect only what's necessary to deliver the service:

• Senior information: Name, phone number, age, timezone, preferred call time, health notes, interests, and call style preference — provided by the enrolling family member.
• Family contact information: Name, mobile number, email address, and relationship to the senior.
• Call data: Recordings and AI-generated summaries of conversations between Nori and the senior, used solely to detect wellbeing signals and generate alerts.
• Consent records: Timestamps and records of consents provided at enrollment, including which alert channels were opted into.

How we use your information

• To place daily check-in calls to the enrolled senior at their preferred time.
• To analyze call content for mood, health, and safety signals using AI.
• To send SMS, WhatsApp, or email alerts to the designated family contact based on their chosen channels.
• To personalize conversations based on remembered interests, health context, and previous calls.
• To improve the quality of our AI and service over time.
• To communicate with you about enrollment, service updates, or support requests.

SMS and WhatsApp messaging

By enrolling and opting into SMS or WhatsApp alerts, the family contact expressly consents to receive automated messages from Nori. Message frequency depends on call outcomes — typically 0–2 messages per day. Message and data rates may apply.

Sample messages you may receive:

• "Your father sounded cheerful today. He mentioned he's been sleeping better this week. – Nori"
• "Nori noticed your mother seemed a bit lower than usual today. You may want to give her a call. – Nori"
• "We weren't able to reach your parent today. We'll try again in 30 minutes. – Nori"

Call recording and AI analysis

Calls between Nori and enrolled seniors are recorded and analyzed by AI to generate wellbeing summaries and detect concerns. By enrolling a senior, the family contact confirms that the senior has been informed of and agreed to this recording and analysis.

Recordings are stored securely and are not shared with third parties. They are used only for the purpose described above.

Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate Nori (e.g. telephony infrastructure, AI processing, database hosting) — under strict agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any other purpose.
• Law enforcement or regulators when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

Data security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your parent is enrolled in Nori. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@callnori.com. We will respond and action your request within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify enrolled users of material changes by email. Continued use of Nori after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
